Dementia Care (including Alzheimer's)
Care for Veterans with some form of dementia, such as Alzheimer’s, is provided as part of the full range of VHA services. Depending on the Veteran's needs, services may include: home based primary care, homemaker and home health aide, respite, adult day health care, palliative care outpatient clinic, inpatient hospital, nursing home, or hospice care. Family/caregiver support is an essential part of care for Veterans with dementia.
