| | A Virtual Industry Day for Veteran’s Integrated Service Network (VISN 5) is scheduled for March 14, 2023, from 10:00 am through 11:00 am est. and will be held online through Microsoft Teams. This event will focus on providing small businesses information on how to do business with the Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 5, and Network Contracting Office (NCO) 5. The Industry Day provides small businesses the opportunity to learn about the varying aspects of Federal contracting and to understand the VA and VISN 5’s acquisition and procurement practices.

How to Create an Effective Capabilities Statement
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), hosts business development webinars to help entrepreneurs highlight their capabilities and past performance. In this training, attendees will learn the critical components for creating a clear and concise version of their business journey that reflects their past performance. An effective capabilities statement includes core competencies, past performance, differentiators, company data, and pertinent codes.
By attending this training, participants can participate in an interactive small group workshop that allows business owners to ask questions directly to VA OSDBU staff to provide peer interaction and one-on-one in-depth training while creating a quality Capability Statement.
A question-and-answer period will follow, and attendees will be provided with an extensive list of internet business resources.
