Techniques and Training



It’s not a compliment. It is harassment.
VA will not tolerate harassment or assault of any kind. Harassment is any unwelcome conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.
At VA, we take all reports of harassment and sexual assault seriously, and we will investigate and take appropriate action.


Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment is unsolicited verbal or physical contact of a sexual nature which is threatening in character.
- Leering/Ogling
- Intentional body exposure
- “HEY BABY”
- Flirting/pressure for sex
- Emails, texts, graphics

Sexual Assault
Sexual assault is any type of unwelcome touch that is without the explicit consent of the recipient of the unwanted sexual activity.
- Grabbing, hugging
- Patting
- Stroking
- Pinching
- Brushing/rubbing against
