VHA Bereavement Counseling Resources for Survivors
Bereavement Counseling is offered to parents, spouses and children of Armed Forces personnel who died in the service of their country. Also eligible are family members of reservists and National Guardsmen who die while on duty.
Palliative Care Consult Teams support a balance of comfort measures and curative interventions to achieve the goals of care as well as support and provide bereavement care to the veteran’s family.
