VHA provides health care to Veterans, civilians and emergency responders when necessary through Federal Emergency Support Functions (ESFs). The primary ESF’s VA supports include:
- ESF 6 - Mass Care, Emergency Assistance, Temporary Housing, and Human Services.
- ESF 8 - Public Health and Medical Services.
