In honor of Veterans with TBI, the 6th Annual Veterans TBI Retreat was held at the Joseph Maxwell Cleland Atlanta VA Medical Center

National Brain Injury Awareness Month in March alerts us to the causes and aims to eliminate the stigma surrounding brain injuries. When it comes to brain injuries, not a single injury or person is the same. The month is dedicated to improving awareness of brain injuries.

The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Clinic/Polytrauma Support Clinic Team (PSCT) serves all Veterans with polytrauma and/or traumatic brain injury including those from Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn Veterans. The TBI/PSCT is part of the national Polytrauma System of Care which delivers follow up services in consultation with regional and network specialists to manage long term effects of TBI/Polytrauma through direct care and consultation.

In honor of Veterans with TBI, the 6th Annual Veterans TBI Retreat was held March 8, 2024, at the Joseph Maxwell Cleland Atlanta VA Medical Center.

We would like to thank the TBI Clinic for the work they do every day with our Veterans and for being a core part of what we do at the Atlanta VA.
