VA Southeast Network now provides 24/7 virtual urgent care services
VA Southeast Network recently announced that as part of VHA’s efforts to deliver virtual care and services to Veterans and ensure ease of contact with providers and support staff, VISN 7 will now operate a 24/7 Clinical Contact Center, making virtual urgent care service more seamless to Veterans.
In April, the VA Southeast Network (VISN 7) announced that as part of VHA’s efforts to deliver virtual care and services to Veterans and ensure ease of contact with providers and support staff, VISN 7 will now operate a 24/7 Clinical Contact Center (CCC), making virtual urgent care service more seamless to Veterans enrolled in VA healthcare within Alabama, North Georgia, and South Carolina.
“I am excited to launch our Clinical Contact Center,” said Dr. David Walker, VISN 7 network director. “This is one more step by VISN 7 to ensure our Veterans can receive the care they need when they need it.”
The center makes it more convenient for Veterans to access 24/7 virtual services. Veterans now have access to VA professionals who can provide integrated, coordinated care in answering general questions, scheduling, clinical triage, virtual care visits, and pharmacy services. Veterans can reach the center directly at 1-855-679-0214 or by contacting their nearest one of eight VA Southeast Network medical centers located in Atlanta, Augusta, Birmingham, Charleston, Columbia, Dublin, Montgomery, or Tuscaloosa.
The centralized, integrated CCC aims to optimize virtual care delivery and promote Veterans’ safety by delivering enhanced access to virtual care and services. The center maximizes first-contact resolution, supporting positive health outcomes in the continuum of care, and providing an improved Veteran experience.
The center functions as a virtual organization, allowing its employees to work anywhere in the VISN 7 service area and provide seamless care and support to Veterans from wherever they call.
