Team members from Coca-Cola Bottling Company United and Cheeriodicals delivered “big green bags of cheer” to Veterans at the Birmingham VA Health Care System.

Coca-Cola Bottling Company United joined with Cheeriodicals, a Birmingham-based team building company, to deliver 150 duffle bags filled with special blankets, beverage tumblers, patriotic magazines/activities books and numerous convenience items created specifically for our Veterans.

Since 2015, Cheeriodicals has donated more than 40,000 comfort kits to Veterans at nearly 100 VA facilities. The national corporate team building company is based in Birmingham and conducts philanthropic events benefiting children’s hospitals, Veterans hospitals, assisted living residents, and other charity organizations.

"We were proud to team up with Cheeriodicals to build comfort kits for our Veterans,” said Alan Lincoln, Coca-Cola Birmingham Bottling Company United Sales Center Manager. “This partnership allows us to bring our team together with the shared purpose of recognizing our Veterans. Our hope is each Veteran got a little joy from our visit and each kit.”

Dr. Oladipo Kukoyi expressed the gratitude of all the Veterans touched by this amazing event, “Thank you to Cheeriodicals and Coca-Cola Bottling Company United for donating such thoughtful and useful kits to our Veterans, your generosity brings cheer to our Veterans and inspires our community.”
