VA Chillicothe health care chaplains serve people of all faiths and denominations as well as patients and families looking for non-denominational support. They are here to listen and offer spiritual and emotional support as you struggle with tough questions and ethical decisions.
Mission
The Chillicothe VA Chaplain Service provides holistic, confidential, spiritual, and soul care to maximize Veteran and family health outcomes.

Chaplains ensure the delivery of needs-based, compassionate, spiritual and soul care to Veterans and their families.
Spiritual and religious services
Our chaplains help veterans and family members through In-and-outpatient treatment, hospital stays, and extended care. If needed, they will contact your personal clergy or spiritual care provider in the community. Our chaplains are clinical pastoral care specialists who provide religious and non-religious people with services such as:
- Spiritual Counseling
- Bereavement (grief and loss) care
- Prayer
- Baptisms
- Holy Communion
- Weddings
Worship services
People of all faiths and traditions are invited to attend:
- Sundays 10:00 am – Quinlan Chapel
- Sundays 1:00 pm – Compass Unit
- Wednesdays 10:00 am – Freedom Harbor Unit
- Wednesdays 10:30 am – Veteran’s Homeland Unit
- Thursdays 11:00 am – Hopewell Unit
- Thursdays – individual visits with inpatients by local parish leader
- Fridays 1:00 pm – Catholic Holy Communion (Individual)
