24/7 access to triage nurses
Veterans who receive care at the Coatesville VA Medical Center (VAMC) now have easier access to triage nurses through the 24/7 virtual services provided by the VISN 4 RN Clinical Contact Center.
Taking advantage of VA Health Connect is as easy as calling a VISN 4 Triage Nurse at 1(833) 835-3874 with your urgent medical or mental health question.
With the recent closure of local emergency departments, having access to advice for urgent medical and mental health questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week, addresses a need for Veterans in Coatesville VAMC’s service area.
The Coatesville VAMC campus has an Urgent Care Center (UCC) available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. however Veterans are not required to travel to the Coatesville campus’ UCC to seek advice for care.
The VISN 4 RN Clinical Contact Center is a VA Health Connect project and is part of VA’s transformation of care delivery efforts designed to give Veterans more control of their health and let them choose how, when, and where to receive their care.
The call center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Simply dial 1-833-TELE-URGENT (1-833-835-3874) to speak with a nurse.
For most common conditions and illnesses, VA registered nurses are available to assess your symptoms from the comfort of your home.
Nurses will evaluate your symptoms, provide a care recommendation, and if appropriate, schedule a virtual or face-to-face same day appointment.
The term VISN 4 refers to VA Healthcare’s regional network of VA campuses, outpatient clinics, vet centers, and a mobile clinic where these services are currently available. VISN 4 covers counties in Pennsylvania and Delaware and parts of Ohio, West Virginia, New York and New Jersey who are all projected to have access to triage nurses through the VISN 4 RN Clinical Contact Center by the end of March of this year.
