The ENLP is an eight-month course of study that gives DVAHCS selected nurses a chance to learn techniques and processes that prepare them for Nurse Manager positions within our Network. Unlike some courses given within the DVAHCS, nurses must apply and be selected into the ENLP.

While attending, nurses continue with their usual duties and responsibilities, meeting once a month for seminars, study, and project assignments on diverse subjects like health benefits of quiet hours for patients, Telehealth connectivity, and improved admission processes.

"During my journey through the [ENLP] program, I have not only grown professionally, I have also been enriched as a person," says Stephanie Speak, a Registered Nurse and Lung Cancer Screening Coordinator at the Fayetteville VA. "If you're a Nurse who is interested in taking up new challenges, I definitely recommend this program."
