Mrs. Lesa Brown currently serves as the Assistant Director for the El Paso VA Health Care System,
where she provides executive leadership and oversight of the following services: Community Care Service, Environmental Management Service, Healthcare Administration Service, Health Information Management Service, and Police and Security Service. She was born in the Philippines and raised as an Air Force dependent at various military bases. Naturalized as a U.S. citizen as a child, she graduated from Kadena High School on Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. She met and married an Army Soldier, and supported him throughout his military career, accompanying him to Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), Texas; Edwards Air Force Base, California; Fort Novosel (formerly Fort Rucker), Alabama; Camp Humphreys, South Korea; Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and Fort Bliss, Texas. Throughout all the military moves, multiple deployments, numerous military trainings, and raising two daughters, Mrs. Brown completed her Bachelor of Science for Project Management and Masters in Business Administration for Human Resources Management through Columbia Southern University. Additionally, she served in various roles for the Department of Air Force, Department of Army, and Customs and Border Protection since 2005. She joined the El Paso VA Health Care System in 2017, initially as a Human Resources Specialist, then as the Executive Assistant to the Director in February 2021, and currently as the Assistant Director since July 2023.
