Fayetteville VA Raeford Road joins pharmacies across the nation for prescription medication Take Back Day

Fayetteville , NC — The Fayetteville NC VA Coastal Health Care System is joining forces with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day event Saturday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fayetteville VA Health Care Center, 7300 Raeford Rd.
The event is open to the entire Fayetteville community to help residents rid their homes of unneeded medications that can become a gateway to addiction.
Veterans, their families, and community residents can come to the Fayetteville VA Health Care Center-RAEFORD ROAD LOCATION from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 29 on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. VA staff members will provide postmarked envelopes allowing you to return any unneeded prescription medications to the DEA for proper disposal.
Community residents can also drop off their unneeded medications at various participating locations. Visit https://www.dea.gov/takebackday for locations.
