Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans

Meeting Presentations - January 14 - 15, 2009

The Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans met at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System January 14 - 15, 2009. The members heard from Dr. Stephen Hunt, the Director of the National Post Deployment Integrated Care Initiative. Dr. Jodie Haselkorn and Dr. Greg Meekins discussed Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). A representative from the Washington State Military Department Joint Headquarters and the President of the Veterans of Modern Warfare also spoke with the Committee.

While in Seattle, the Committee visited the Seattle Regional Office as well as the Seattle Vet Center and a Veterans Homeless Facility.
