Why VA Houston: As I searched for PGY1 residency programs, my main goal was to find a teaching institution with a supportive learning environment for its residents while offering unique experiences to grow and advance professionally as a new pharmacist. Now I can say after completing my PGY1 experience, VA Houston provided this and much more.
Following my PGY1 residency, I decided to early commit to the PGY2 Ambulatory Care program to further challenge myself to practice at the top of my license. VA Houston has provided the perfect environment for me to grow clinically and professionally, while serving our veterans in a variety of outpatient clinics such as primary care, heart failure, HIV, and endocrinology. I am so excited to continue my training as a PGY2 Ambulatory Care resident at VA Houston!
