Why VA Houston:

Coming from a VA PGY-1, I was able to witness the impact and involvement of pharmacy, especially in mental health services. I knew that continuing at a VA, I would feel empowered as a psychiatric pharmacist.

VA Houston’s program provided an even mix of inpatient/outpatient rotations, unique electives (adolescent & young adult), and multiple didactic/experiential teaching opportunities. However, what really solidified my interest in the program was my RPD. From my interview and testimonies from others, I knew Dr. Dike would be an amazing RPD, showing genuine interest in the resident and fostering their growth.
