Avery Risinger PharmD

Dr. Risinger is originally from Mattoon, Illinois. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy in May 2024. Dr. Risinger’s pharmacy practice areas of interest include primary care, mental health, and academia. She chose VA Illiana for her PGY-1 residency due to the focus on ambulatory care, variety of mental health-related learning experiences, and opportunity to work closely with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, doing various crafts, hanging out with her cats, and spending time with family/friends.
