The Behavioral Health Department offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including telehealth appointments. We provide consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues impacting emotional well-being. Our services include:
- Psychiatry
- Psychology
- Services for Veterans who are homeless
- Treatment for addictive disorders, including residential rehabilitation treatment programs
- Transition and care management for returning Veterans (OIF/OEF/OND)
- Same-day mental health care services at the Mental Health Access Clinic

Mental Health Access Clinic
VA Loma Linda's Mental Health Access Clinic is located at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans’ Hospital Emergency Department, 11201 Benton St., Loma Linda, CA 92357.
The Mental Health Access Clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to provide expanded same-day mental health care services such as:
- crisis intervention therapy
- help to establish, resume, or update mental health care treatment plans
- psychiatric medication consultations
- information on available mental healthcare interventions and treatments

Confidentiality
Mental health services are confidential. We will not talk to anyone about information you share unless you give written consent. Under federal law, a few exceptions to this rule exist. If you have questions, please ask your mental health provider.
