Veterans Day Celebrations Nov. 10
Veterans and the community are invited to VA Loma Linda Healthcare System’s Veterans Day Ceremony Nov. 10 at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Hospital auditorium at 11 a.m.
The Rancho Verde High School Junior ROTC Honor Guard will present the colors. Cake and refreshments will be served to celebrate Veterans Day and the U.S. Marine Corps birthday.
Following the ceremony is the Veterans Day music fest and information showcase at the Ambulatory Care Center Nov. 10 from noon to 4 p.m., featuring performances by Guitars for Vets, Strings for Vets, the Southwest Bluegrass Association, and a variety of vendors. At 1 p.m., American country singer and performer Brent Payne will take the stage with his well-seasoned band. Payne is a multi-award winning recording artist and Guitars for Vets ambassador.
Veterans are encouraged to represent their branch of service by wearing military hats, shirts and attire. Remember that no weapons are allowed on federal property. VALLHS is committed to keeping Veterans, employees and visitors to our facilities safe.
VALLHS is celebrating Veterans all week with daily salutes and information fairs Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the main facility and ACC, presented by VALLHS Center for Development and Civic Engagement and Veterans Service Organization partners.
VALLHS administrative services will be limited Nov. 11 for the Federal holiday. The Emergency Department remains open 24/7.
