Care we provide at VA Palo Alto health care
Our Minority Veterans Program provides support and assistance to all Veterans, regardless of their race or ethnicity. This includes Black, Asian, Hispanic, and Native American Veterans, as well as American Indians, Alaskan Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. We focus on:
- Helping the medical center manage their efforts to meet the needs of minority Veterans
- The needs of minority Veterans in the local community
- Making sure minority Veterans have an easier time accessing services they need by removing any potential obstacles
- Helping Veterans learn about the different benefits, services, and programs available at VA
Our role
The Minority Veterans Program is focused on making sure all Veterans know about the help, resources, and services provided by VA. We can help to connect Veterans with the right people and organizations, but we don't process claims, equal employment complaints, or staff issues.
