The flu season is upon us. It's important you stay protected.
Walk-in clinics
Veterans can get a flu shot at their primary or specialty care appointments starting Sept. 5. Veterans may also walk-in during the following times:
- Nashville VA Medical Center: Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Pod C
- Alvin C. York VA Medical Center: Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in urgent care lobby
- Chattanooga VA Clinic: Drive-thru clinic Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. except on Wednesdays
- Clarksville VA Clinic: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.; drive-thru clinic Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - noon
- Albion VA Clinic: Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in main lobby
- Athens VA Clinic: Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in main lobby except on Wednesdays
- Bowling Green VA Clinic: Every Wednesday from 1 - 3 p.m. in main lobby
- Charlotte Ave VA Clinic: Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on the 1st floor
- Gallatin VA Clinic: Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in main lobby
- International Plaza VA Clinic: Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on the 3rd floor
Additionally, Veterans can get their pneumonia vaccine while getting their flu shot. Ask your health care team to get protected against pneumonia.
Veterans can also get a free flu shot through an authorized community care provider. Visit the flu shot locator for a complete list of where you can get a free flu shot. Please remember to let your VA health care team know when you got your flu shot so we can add it to your health record.
