Dr. Hopkins completed her medical degree, residency, and chief residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
There, she also earned a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics. Following her chief residency, Dr. Hopkins joined the hospitalist group at the Washington, DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center in July 2019. She currently holds academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University, Georgetown University, and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Dr. Hopkins's primary area of interest is in Patient Flow/Quality Improvement. She serves as Director of Patient Flow as well as lead medicine Physician Utilization Management Advisor at the DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center
