VA continues to seek feedback from Veterans and communities to help shape the future of VA health care policy. VA has been hosting public virtual listening sessions across the country since March to hear from Veterans on their thoughts about how to improve the care they receive from VA. Feedback from the listening sessions will be used to develop the recommendations that VA will submit to the AIR Commission in January 2022.

February 1, 2021

In accordance with the MISSION Act, VA published draft decision criteria in the Federal Register to be used by VA’s Secretary to develop recommendations for the future of VHA health care. Recommendations from the ongoing market assessments will be finalized utilizing the approved criteria and submitted by VA’s Secretary to the presidentially appointed AIR Commission for their consideration in January 2022.
