What would you recommend?
Mike is a 33-year-old Veteran who has suffered from PTSD and chronic migraine and tension headaches since he returned from Iraq in 2004. He has tried many pharmacological treatments for his headaches without much success. His psychiatrist also prescribed fluoxetine, but Mike is frustrated by the side effects, including fatigue, dizziness, nausea, and impotence. A friend recommended acupuncture and Mike is interested in exploring the idea and looking into other options.
What would you tell Mike and how would you implement a Whole Health approach to care?
