Wednesday, May 15 was the last day of operations at the VA clinic in Tulare. Starting Monday (May 20th), Veterans will be able to get their care at the brand new VA clinic in Visalia.

VA Central California  Health Care System depends on the goodwill of donors and volunteers who want to give something back to America's heroes. Volunteers provide much-needed help throughout the health care system and make patients' experiences more enjoyable. Many different volunteer opportunities are available, and each volunteer's talents are closely matched with one of our assignments.

Donations provide for the increasing needs of the Veterans we serve. All donations are tax-deductible.

Types of donations

Monetary – for the purchase of items to address emergent, critical needs or therapeutic activities for Veterans that VA cannot use appropriated funding for, such as:

  • Grocery gift cards
  • Clothing
  • Patient activities (gardening, bowling, creative arts, etc.)
  • Refreshments for patient activities
  • National Games, Adaptive Sports, and Creative Arts Festival
  • Transportation to participate in National Games, Adaptive Sports, and Creative Arts Festival
