Customer Training
The Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL) Front Office Operations offers the classes listed below in an hour long session. Upon request, training will be provided via Live Meeting, or in person in the Washington DC area. OPAL conducts training during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters of the fiscal year. Getting to Know OPAL | This training session will outline what our customers can expect from OPAL as outlined in the OPAL Customer Bill of Rights. It will also discuss how to identify OPAL contracting offices for their requirements and provide an overview of procurement integrity. |
Technical Evaluation Team - You’ve reviewed, now what? | An in-depth look at how to prepare the technical evaluation report. |
After the Contract is Awarded | A review of the roles and responsibilities of managing a contract by the program office. |
Unauthorized Commitments | Understanding of what an unauthorized commitment is, how to avoid finding yourself in that situation, and what to do if one has been committed. |
Personal verses Non-Personal Services - Why it’s Important to Know the Difference | An explanation of the basic differences between personal and non-personal services, why we must avoid personal services, and some methods to help avoid crossing the line into personal. |
The Acquisition Timeline | A look at why your requirement takes time and a look at the key milestones in the acquisition process. |
Government Contractor Relationship | A look at the tenuous relationship between Government employees and contractors and how business should be conducted. |
