NAC Management

The National Acquisition Center is responsible for supporting the health care requirements of VA as well as the needs of other Government agencies.  The NAC solicits, awards, and administers VA’s Federal Supply Schedule and National Contract Programs including the acquisition and direct delivery of pharmaceuticals, high technology medical equipment and just-in-time distribution programs (also known as Prime Vendor Distribution Programs).  With over 1,850+ contracts, the NAC’s programs realize annual sales of over $28 billion (multi-year value).

Commodities and Services Acquisition Service

The Commodities and Services Acquisition Service (CSAS) provides direct and assisted national contractual support for prosthetic commodities, audiology equipment and supplies, and home telehealth equipment managed by the Denver Logistics Center. Denver Logistics Center

The Denver Logistics Center (DLC) provides holistic supply chain management for designated VA Clinical Programs and supports VA and Other Government Agencies (OGA) with professional logistical and related services. Commodities managed include worldwide order fulfillment and distribution of hearing aids, hearing aid accessories, cochlear implants, assistive devices, batteries, prosthetic socks, orthotic soft-goods, aids for the visually impaired, telehealth messaging devices and peripherals. The DLC also manages the VA’s only hearing aid repair program by providing eligibility verification, problem diagnosis, hearing aid programming retrieval, cleaning, repairs, vendor management, and quality control.

National Contract Service

The National Contract Service encompass such commodities as high tech medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, I.V. solutions and sets, prescription vials, and just-in-time prime vendor distribution programs for pharmaceutical and subsistence.  This Service has responsibility for National Contracts and Blanket Purchase Agreements, in support of National Standardization, which are established under the Federal Supply Schedule Program.  All of these programs are open to VA medical centers, related facilities and some State Veterans Homes.
