Journey to Normal
07/13/2017 – Thursday evening, we screened the documentary film Journey to Normal and included a discussion with the producer/director, producer, and one of the women Veterans featured in the film.
[Podcast] #52: VA’s Center for Minority Veterans Panel Discussion [10/13/2017] – The CWV has been developing ways to deliver information from the summit and I’ve collaborated with them to produce a podcast, with support of the Center for Minority Veterans (CMV), on minority women Veterans. Registration Open for 2017 National Women Veterans Summit, August 25-26 in Houston, TX [06/19/2017] – It’s been a long time coming, but the 2017 National Women Veterans Summit is set and will take place at the Hyatt Regency Downtown in Houston, Texas Aug. 25-26, with an opening reception Aug. 24. The event was scheduled for August 25-26, 2017 in Houston, Texas and cut short by Hurricane Harvey; we will post presentations and more soon. The event was being hosted by VA’s Center for Women Veterans and the Veterans Experience Office and with the support of partners including The American Legion, AMVETS, Blinded Veterans Association, BP, Comcast, Disabled American Veterans, General Electric, Health Net Federal Services, IBM, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Military Officers Association of America, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Optum, Paralyzed Veterans of America, USAA, the Veterans Canteen Service, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vietnam Veterans of America, and Walgreens.
Houston To Host National Women Veterans Summit This Summer [06/14/2017] – Houston and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center will be hosting the 2017 National Women Veterans Summit on Aug. 25-26.
