Center for Women Veterans (CWV)
Women Veteran Athletes Initiative
To raise national awareness of the service, diversity, and resilience of women Veterans, in March 2018 VA’s Center for Women Veterans will host an exhibit featuring 10 women Veteran Athletes in 10 VAMCs nationwide, after which it will travel to additional facilities. In partnership with Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), a nonprofit that hosts regular fitness, social, and community service events nationwide, we will display high-quality posters with photos of the women Veterans taken by Stacy Pearsall of the Veterans Portrait Project. By highlighting these 10 inspiring women, we hope to increase awareness of women Veterans, both in VA and in the public, and to encourage women Veterans to choose VA to support their health and wellness goals. The Veterans Canteen Service, Comcast NBCUniversal, and Semper Fi Fund 
are supporters of this initiative.
