VA Launches New Outreach Campaign Focused on Women Veterans and Self-Identification
Join our new outreach campaign: The “I’m One” campaign! This nationwide women Veterans outreach campaign focuses on developing identity and respect for women Veterans, and hopes to encourage more women to self-identify with their Veteran service. The following are a few ways in which you and others can join the movement and get involved.
We encourage you to take part in this campaign! There are outreach materials including posters available so you can take “I’m One” Selfies and share them on social media. Read the brief descriptions of women’s contributions to the defense of the nation throughout history, and share your pride in being part of this long tradition of honorable service.
Posters – “I’m One” posters that you can share with your constituents.
I“m One Selfies – Are you one? Did you serve in the U.S. Armed Forces? Are you a Veteran? If so, we want to see your pictures! Print out one of the backdrops, and share your picture with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram by using @DeptVetAffairs and the hashtag #WomenVets.
For more information email or (202) 461-6193.
