- Research Interests
- Diana Burgess, PhD is a professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota and Director of the VA Advanced Fellowship Program in Health Services Research at the Center for Care Delivery and Outcomes Research at the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. Her research has focused on racial/ethnic disparities in health and healthcare, with an emphasis on disparities in pain and pain management. Her current research focuses on non-pharmacological treatment for chronic pain, with an emphasis on marginalized groups. She is also pursuing a new line of research on public health communication about chronic pain.
