Office of Acquisition and Logistics (OAL)
Acquisition Policy Flash! 13-20
Update on PPS Web page
Purpose: The purpose of this Acquisition Flash is to inform the VA Acquisition Workforce that the VA Procurement Policy website has moved and to provide the new link.
Dated: July 17, 2013
Background: The Procurement Policy Service (PPS), a part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Acquisition & Logistics (OAL), reports to Mr. C. Ford Heard, Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Procurement Policy, Systems and Oversight, who is designated as VA's Deputy Senior Procurement Executive (DSPE). Over a year ago, we sent Acquisition Flash 12-16 advertising the launch of a new VA Procurement Policy website. We were delighted then as we are now to tell you that within the PPS website, you will find detailed information regarding recent and archived VA procurement regulations as well as procedures, guidance and information (PGI). Along with other OAL websites, ours has been further redesigned with clean, uncluttered lines in order to help you quickly find the policy resources you need. The feedback has been extremely positive and we welcome your comments and ideas for further improvement.
Update: This Acquisition Flash is to advise you that the site has been moved. The new link to our Procurement Policy website is: http://www.va.gov/oal/business/pps/. Our goal is to provide you with a one-stop location where you will find the tools needed for success - FAR, VAAR, Regulatory deviations, Acquisition Flashes, Procurement Policy Memorandums (PPMs) (and yes, those old Information Letters (ILs)), and much more - including once published, the much anticipated VA Acquisition Manual (VAAM). You can access these menu options on the right side of the page, under the “Resources” heading.
Action: Please take the time to explore our website and add it to your favorites. The Procurement Policy website is the primary source for information regarding VA department-wide procurement regulations and PGI. We hope it will quickly become one of your preferred procurement resources.
Additional Information: As always, we welcome your questions and comments, which can be submitted to our procurement policy mailbox at va.procurement.policy@va.gov. We look forward to getting your emails with questions and comments and will respond to your inquiries within 48 hours.
