Acquisition Policy Flash! 19-08
Notification of VA Acquisition Manual (VAAM) Update 2019-02 to VAAM part M836
Purpose: The purpose of this Acquisition Policy Flash is to notify the VA acquisition workforce of the issuance of revisions to VAAM part M836.205-70(a), Statutory cost limitations, and associated sections; as well as VAAM M836.602-2(a)(5), Evaluation boards.
VAAR/VAAM Parts Impacted: VAAM part M836.
Effective Date: Immediately
Expiration Date: N/A
Background: Public Law 115-182 revised the statutory limit for a VA major medical facility project from $10,000,000 to $20,000,000. Therefore, VAAM part M836.205-70(a), Statutory cost limitations and associated sections are changed to reflect this increase. VAAM 836.602-2(a)(5) is also being revised to change Nondisclosure “Certification” to Nondisclosure “Agreement,” to more closely align with the Federal Acquisition Regulation term of use.
Applicability: This Acquisition Policy Flash applies to all VA acquisition workforce members.
Action Required: The VA acquisition workforce shall comply with the requirements of the published VAAM Update 2019-02.
