New FPDS National Interest Action (NIA) Code for Ukraine Mission Support
Purpose: Provide information regarding the use of the National Interest Action Code for Ukraine Mission Support in FPDS-NG.
Effective Date: March 14, 2022
Affected VAAR/VAAM Parts: VAAM Part M818
Background: The Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) recently provided instructions that the new National Interest Code, O22U, is now available for use to identify procurement actions for Ukraine Mission Support.
The application of the NIA code (O22U) is valid from March 4, 2022, through September 30, 2022, per the FPDS-NG website.
Applicability: This Acquisition Flash applies to all VA contracting activities awarding Ukraine Mission Support procurement actions, with further guidance in the VA Acquisition Manual (VAAM).
Action Required: Contracting Officers should follow guidance set forth VAAM M818.271.
