Returning to civilian life presents new opportunities as well as challenges for Veterans. Many Veterans look forward to life after the military. At the same time, transitioning to civilian life may lead to a lot of questions. As an EAP provider, understanding the management structure and style in military versus civilian work settings can be helpful when working to help ease the transition for Veterans. In this lesson, we will be discussing the following topics: chain of command, and mission orientation.
A general overview of each topic will be presented followed by specific information about how an EAP provider can work with a Veteran on managing issues related to these topics.
