Coordinating Center
The AFiG Coordinating Center oversees and manages AFiG sites and aims to:
- Support and empower fellowship sites to align their training with the mission of the AFiG and the strengths of their facility.
- Coordinate cross-site curriculum to support project-based experience, didactic learning, reflective observation, and mentorships, as well as cultivate a community of learners that aligns with the site’s mission and is customized based on expertise at each site.
- Assist with logistics and use of best practices in educational implementation.
- Develop a national recruitment initiative to increase the number and diversity of applicants and facilitate hiring fellowship graduates into VA positions.
